We got many emails asking the same question, Darbukator sounds cool but so is any good loop What makes it special? To answer this question we must talk about the idea behind Darbukator and how it works
The idea
We wanted to make a sound module that plays like a real player What we call it "free style", means that you can sound like the real thing freely, one way to do it is to program styles from single shot sounds (like any other sound module and keyboard arrangers), but as you know it never sounds 100% real because the hand never makes the same sound twice, the other way is to use loops but that will be limited to how the loops are played and it will not be free playing, What we did was a bit of both ways
How Darbukator works
Any real player is a bank of experiences played the way the composer wants, so what we need is a player doing his thing the way you want,
We recorded the experience of the player in the form of loops (24 bit mastered), then turned every touch and sound made on the instrument into single shot with its own release, we programmed them to play the original loop, this way you can change from every loop to the other at any time without any change in the overall track, also the tempo range is huge with no loss, and stops can be made at any time with no cuts
With this technique every single hit you hear is unique
And that’s exactly what the real player does
